Rainbow Stockholm 1980  Fear of flying.... years ago I was terrified of it. I was convinced the end was nigh on every flight. I was in Stockholm with Rainbow and the tour manager Colin Hart noticing I was white as we were about to take off for on a snowy runway said 'Wait until we land'. Which of course we did safely. Colin waited until we were speeding along an autobahn and said 'Open the window wind it down and stick your arm out' which I did 'Now turn your hand upwards' which I did and my arm started going up in the air.. 'That's how planes fly now stop worrying about it'... which I have ever since. I remembered this story going through some very old bw negs today - here's Roger Glover and Colin circa 1980....
