THE JAN HOLBERG PROJECT At Your Service 2013 - Nordic Records  Second release of Norwegian bassist Jan E. Holberg. For the occasion, Holberg decided to include some special guests vocalist: Age Sten Nilsen (Wig Wam), Tony Carey (ex-Rainbow) and Joe Lynn Turner. The album combines a mix of melodic rock, funk and some blues. All songs have instant hook and enjoyed them from start to finish. Something positive and fresh about the composition of Holberg is the right use of background vocals both female singers, this give the songs even more hook, especially with women backing vocals. To define the band (bass, guitar and drums), in one word is solid. The rhythm section is perfect and all brilliant musicians with their instruments deliver passion and technique. I couldn´t point out any song in particular on the album because they´re all enjoyable but "Battle of your heart" is a killer!
