He has been very successfull since the early 70's as Scorpions guitarist from the early years (famous for 'Still Loving You' and "Wind of Change") and UFO. Late 70s / early 80s, he decides to go solo under the name Michael Schenker Group. It's not always successful. Throughout his career he gets problems with alcoholism and personal matters. His performances do not suffer though and the fan base of the master guitarist is constantly increasing. Since the early nineties he is releasing albums under his own name. Recently he released his ninth studio album "Temple Of Rock". An album that seamlessly connects with its grandiose albums from the eighties. During his appearance in the Patronaat venue the guitar virtuoso gives an anthology of the greatest classics from his songs of Scorpions, UFO, Michael Schenker Group and of course his latest album Temple Of Rock. His fantastic band for this tour consists of renowned artists such as singer Doogie White, former frontman of Rainbow and Yngwie Malmsteen, old Scorpions bassist Francis Buchholz, former Scorpions drummer Herman Rarebell and guitarist / keyboardist Wayne Findlay of Michael Schenker Group. The support is provided by the Norwegian old school heavy metal band Grey Zone. They are currently putting the finishing touches on their debut album, 'Release The Madness'. Eind jaren zeventig / begin jaren tachtig besluit hij solo zijn succes te beproeven onder de naam Michael Schenker Group. Met wisselend succes. Zo wordt zijn carrière geplaagd door alcoholisme en persoonlijke problemen. Zijn optredens lijden hier echter niet onder en de fanbase van de meestergitarist blijft almaar groeien. Een album dat naadloos aansluit bij zijn grandioze albums uit de jaren tachtig. Tijdens zijn optreden in Patronaat geeft de gitaarvirtuoos een bloemlezing met de grootste klassiekers uit zijn oeuvre van Scorpions, UFO, Michael Schenker Group en natuurlijk zijn laatste album Temple Of Rock. Zijn fantastische band bestaat voor deze tour uit gerenommeerde artiesten als zanger Doogie White, voormalig frontman van Rainbow en Yngwie Malmsteen, oud Scorpions bassist Francis Bucholz, oud Scorpions drummer Herman Rarebell en gitarist/toetsenist Wayne Findlay van Michael Schenker Group.
