Doogie: "Chain was inbetween 'Midnight Blue' and 'Rainbow'. We would work during the week writing songs and then we'd record them at the weekend. That's why that album is also very varied. Lyrically I think it's probably the best that I've done, there was a lot of... "medication" going on. I like the lyrics, but I don't think the production is that great, but it was recorded on an 8-track reel-to-reel and it was only supposed to be a demo, but the Japanese absolutely loved it and that's how it came to be released."

Reissue by Frontiers Records in 2003.
Track 11 ("State of Independence") is the bonustrack on the Japanese release and is missing on the re-issue but it comes with an European bonustrack "Perfect World".
