Peter And The Wolf is a composition by Sergei Prokofiev written in 1936 after his return to the Soviet Union. It is a children's story (with both music and text by Prokofiev), spoken by a narrator accompanied by the orchestra. In 1975, Robin Lumley and Jack Lancaster produced a rock version.

The Rock Peter and the Wolf was an arrangement of songs of the classic Peter and the Wolf story, in an album released in 1975. Gary Brooker, Bill Bruford, Phil Collins, Julie Driscoll, Stephane Grappelli, Jack Lancaster, Jon Hiseman, Brian Eno, Alvin Lee, Gary Moore, Cozy Powell, Manfred Mann, Keith Tippett, Viv Stanshall, the English Chorale and few other musicians have all performed in this album.
