Perry is remembered primarily for being the bassist and vocalist for Caravan from 1973-4. Sunset Wading is John G. Perry's lone solo album (a second, unreleased album, Seabird, was eventually issued by Voiceprint Records as well). He is joined here by producer Rupert Hine and ex-Crimson man Michael Giles (Hine would produce Anthony Phillips' Sides right after this, with Perry, Giles, and Morris Pert in tow as the rhythm section).
