He started out by trying many different instruments such as Piano, Keyboard, Drums, Harp and s.o. At the age of 13 he bought a KISS record and at 15 he started learning guitar. Throughout the years he was influenced by Van Halen, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, King’s X, Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, ZZ Top, Kiss, Frank Zappa, Deep Purple and much more. He was influenced of many great Guitarplayer like Vinnie Vincent, Gary Moore, Eddie Van Halen, Vinnie Moore, Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malmsteen, Michael Schenker, Steve Vai, Uli Jon Roth, Brad Gillis, Albert Lee, Ty Tabor, Tony Iommi, George Lynch, Jimi Hendrix, Paul Gilbert, Tony MacAlpine, Richie Blackmore, The Kulick Brothers Bruce and Bob, Ace Frehley, and many more. In the 90s, Thomas formed his 1st band called “ACARI”, followed by the funproject “Thomas Tomsen -Band” and “Böser Tomsen”, presently named “FRANKENFISH”. He also play with "Galetzka Tomsen" and " GBT". Thomas works as a guitar teacher and session player for different projects, bands and artists. The new album " Sunflickers " is out now!
