He played for the band from 1975 to 1977. Since his departure from Rainbow, Tony Carey has maintained an extensive solo career, releasing albums under his own name as well under the name of Planet P Project. Beside his own recording career, Tony Carey has been a producer, performer and session musician for numerous acts all over the world. After leaving Rainbow Tony Carey seemed to say hell-with-it-all and devil-may-care, and just started pumping out solo instrumental projects. In 1982 alone he put out five records in his name, and this is the fourth, "Heaven".
