Notes:

The definitive document, this 28-track compilation has all 16 of her HMV and Pye cuts (previously anthologized on the only other Collins compilation, Been Invited to a Party), and adds the A- and B-sides of her three early-'60s Decca singles, ... Full Descriptionas well as six more tracks that were unreleased in the '60s (four of which make their first appearance here). The Decca sides are uninteresting pre-Beatle teen idol pop, though "Find Another Fool" is an obscure Mann/Weil composition (and not a good one). None of the six rarities (at least three of which date from 1966; the others sound like they come from that era as well) are outstanding, although they certainly bear Joe Meek's eccentric stamp in the compressed/distorted vocals and percussion. Protests from the Meek fan club notwithstanding, this still doesn't do anything to make one think that Collins was a noteworthy overlooked talent. However, for those who feel otherwise, this is the ticket, with lengthy liner notes from Joe Meek biographer John Repsch.

2009 collection from one of the best female vocalists of the `60s, who sadly never had a hit but is credited with some of the finest performances of the era. Glenda's entire recorded career under the watchful eyes of producer Joe Meek is here. These cuts still crackle with life over 40 years later! She was backed by Meek's stable of session crews including the Riot Squad and The Outlaws featuring Ritchie Blackmore. The album package tells her complete story, including interviews with Glenda, and is written by Meek biographer John Repsch. 28 tracks. RPM.

Personnel includes: Glenda Collins, Ritchie Blackmore, The Outlaws, The Riot Squad.

Ritchie Blackmore plays on some tracks including "If You've Gotta Pick A Baby", "Been Invited To A Party" and "Thou Shalt Not Steal".
